This was by request by Vigdis Holen, who would also go on to tutor our team over the course of the project.\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4>The Application<\/h4>\n\n\n\n\n\nThis application allowed the user to find a variety of historical sites on a map. Each of these sites would be documented homesteads that had been abandoned long ago, as the inhabitants of the region emigrated from the area to the US.\u00a0<br>The user could then travel to the area, and find the sites where the buildings had once been located. Using AR functionality, they could then view the building as it had looked at the time.<br><br>In addition to the building itself, the user could click a button in order to show information about the site in question. This information would be supplied by the local history part.<br>Including who had lived there, details of the building, and other relevant information.<br><br>My main contribution to the app was the overall design, as well as the production of an asset library. Creating a wide variety of 3D building assets based on the period, that could be used throughout the process of creating buildings. Which would allow us to create varied buildings rapidly.
